MARACANÃ - ENGENHÃO CORRIDOR

2010

Urban rehabilitation project for the Maracanã - Engenhão corridor.

Renovation of an old area in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro with consolidated urbanization in the early 1900s, between the two biggest stadiums in the city.
Main interventions:
Widening of the avenues surrounding the railway line.
Redesign and repositioning of bus stops.
Installation of intermodal accessibility equipment to connect: bus, train and, subway
Renovation of the train stations within the project area.
Creation of squares next to train stations and main points of interest in the affected neighborhoods.
Design of new urban equipment including points of sale for street commerce.
The project was developed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

RIO ORLA PROJECT

1990

Redevelopment of the beach areas in the south and west zones of Rio de Janeiro City.
Main interventions:
Traffic reengineering with the creation of new parking areas for the beaches.
Expansion of boardwalks with the creation of 19 km of cycle paths connecting the beaches circuit.
Design of new urban equipment for the waterfront.
Reorganization and standardization of the waterfront points of sale.

New public lighting project for the beaches.


This project was developed for the ECO 92, the first United Nations Conference on the Environment.

2020

LARGO DA CARIOCA  PROJECT

1992

Redesign of Largo da Carioca, downtown, in the heart of the city where history and modernity walk together. The project was promoted by the Rio de Janerio City Administration and sponsored by the BNDES - National Bank of Development, responsible for the maintenance of the new park proposed. Mayor Marcello Alencar.
